September Teacher and Student of the Month

RJHS has announced the winners for September Teacher and Student of the Month this week!

Leslie Boles is the Teacher of the Month. She teaches 9th grade English. She was nominated by Hayley Jackson, a fellow 9th grade English teacher at RJHS. Hayley wrote in her nomination: "This teacher is a constant help to other teachers in need. Whether it be lesson plan help or help with different strategies, she is always there to support our department in providing us with helpful information we can use time and time again. She never complains and always has a smile on her face. She encourages me and countless others to stay positive even in seemingly questionable situations. She is the truest face of a caring teacher with her giving heart and uplifting attitude."

Lawson Davis is the Student of the Month. He is a 9th grader and the son of Angela Nill. He was nominated by Drama teacher, Mr. Dustin Jackson, and his English teacher, Mrs. Hayley Jackson. Mrs. Jackson says, “Lawson is a true leader and role model for RJHS. He uses his own time to help clean up the hallways and cafeteria. He is responsible, reliable, and kind. He's the type of student to go out of his way to help another student.” Mr. Jackson says, “Lawson is a leader among his peers. He constantly uses his time wisely and takes the initiative to get things done. After the school dance he helped clean the floor and return the tables and was the last student present. He is constantly trying to better himself in the arts seeking feedback and putting time in with choir solo lessons after school. Lawson is a leader in class and will volunteer while trying to help his peers succeed.

RJHS wants to say a big congratulations to Mrs. Boles and Lawson Davis.
