RJHS May Teacher and Student of the Month

Summer Hutchinson is the May Teacher of the Month! She teaches 8th grade Math and is the Quiz Bowl Coach at RJHS. She was nominated by a fellow staff member, Mr. Luke Humphreys. He  had wonderful things to say about her in his nomination! He said, “She has great rapport with the students and tries her best to make sure students are having fun while learning in her classroom. She has great work ethic; whether it's staying late after school with students, or working hard in the gym, she is always striving to be great! She is always very helpful, provides great insight, and comes up with fun activities for the classroom. I can't think of a better candidate for the final teacher of the month."

Michael Pennington is the May Student of the Month! He is a 9th grader, and the son of Michael and Myrna Pennington. He was nominated by his science teacher, Mrs. Misty Talley.  She had wonderful things to say about him in her nomination! She said "I cannot say enough about this student. He loves to learn! He doesn't meet a stranger. His sense of humor and gentle nature makes him enjoyable in class. He listens intently and tries to do his very best.  His teachers from his old school even sent a documentary video about him. This is one very special young man."

RJHS wants to say a big congratulations to Mrs. Hutchinson and Michael Pennington!
