The Russellville Athletic department oversees 24 boys and girls sports teams at Russellville High School, Russellville Junior High School, and Russellville Middle School. There are approximately 400 student-athletes and more than 40 coaches in the district. Russellville is a member of the 6A West conference.

Team sports at Russellville High School include baseball, cheer, dance, football, softball, volleyball, and wrestling. Boys and girls sports include basketball, cross country, golf, soccer, swimming, tennis, and track.

Team sports at Russellville Junior High School include cheer, dance, football, and volleyball. Boys and girls sports include basketball, cross country, and track.

The Russellville School District fields two teams for the middle school, RMS Red, and RMS Black. RMS will field two teams in football, volleyball, and boys and girls basketball. Cross country and track are also offered for middle school athletes.

The philosophy of the Russellville Athletic Department is to maintain a broad-based program that will afford all students with athletic interest an opportunity for safe participation in the sports of their choice. The coaches shall deal with the athletes with firmness and fairness in order to establish the leadership they respect and admire.

Goal of The Russellville Athletic Department

The student-athlete will develop the skills necessary to become independent problem-solving adults and become a positive influence in society, not just a good athlete.
