Meet the 3rd Grade Teachers

Hello! My name is Kaitlyn Boswell and I  teach in 3A . I have taught third grade at Center Valley since 2015. I graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education from Arkansas Tech University. In my free time, I enjoy getting outdoors, spending time with family and friends, and volunteering my time as a leader over the kids ministry at my church. I have always had a passion for working with children! My goal is to help raise some amazing men and women. I want my students to be creative, problem solvers, and independent. “You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself any direction you choose.” ― Dr. Seuss, Oh, The Places You'll Go!

My name is Alicia Brown. I graduated with a bachelor’s degree from Arkansas Tech University and a master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Arkansas State University. I have taught since 2006 in kindergarten, first, third, and fourth grade. I absolutely love teaching at Center Valley and feel that every year my family grows larger. My students will always have a place in my heart. I am a mom to two boys; Reid and Blake who attend ATU. I am an avid baseball fan, which is evident when walking into my classroom. I love spending time with my family, and the best part of the summer is being able to watch baseball games or travel to see them.

My name is Kimberly Bates. I am a 2002 graduate of Arkansas Tech University. I have a bachelors in Early Childhood Education. Before having children, I taught first grade at Waldron Elementary School. I came back to teaching after 12 years of being a stay at home mom. During that time, I babysat several children in my home and was a substitute teacher for a year and a half. I have been married to my wonderful husband Jason since 2001. We have two children, Natalie and Alex. We stay busy watching them both play soccer, and Natalie is on the Cross Country team.
