Service Project

posted Apr 17, 2012, 10:57 AM by Kelley Honghiran

RMS is partnering with Ozark Water Projects to provide a water purification system in Kenya or Haiti.  We are challenging our school to bring in 4,000 pairs of wearable used shoes of any kind and any size.  The shoes must be together in a pair and bagged up in preferably plastic bags.  Ozark Water Project will sell the shoes and use all the funds to purchase materials for a water purification system.  Go to http://youtu.be/e20pXcDRJlo  to watch a video of this in action.  If everyone in our school brought in at least 5 pairs of used shoes we would reach our goal.  The last day of the shoe drive will be April 27, 2012.  Please help us in this worthy service project.  For more information, contact RMS Counselor, Debbie Jones.
