RMS Teacher of the Year

Congratulations to the RMS 2023-2024 Teacher of the Year, Kylie Gallegos!

Mrs. Kylie Gallegos, former S.T.O.R.M award recipient for the Russellville School District in 2023, is known as a teacher who supports, teaches, observes, recognizes and motivates ALL students. She has taught at Russellville Middle School as a Special Education ELA teacher for 4 years.

A graduate of Henderson State University, Mrs. Gallegos has taught for 14 years in a variety of grade levels. She received her Masters Degree in Advanced Instructional Studies and ESL from Henderson State University. In 2020, she attended Arkansas Tech University to pursue her Special Education endorsement. As a middle school teacher, Mrs. Gallegos has also served on numerous leadership committees including the Guiding Coalition (2022-2023), Sunshine Committee, Process Champion for Capturing Kids Hearts, and has taken advantage of several opportunities to lead professional development in the district. Mrs. Gallegos was awarded Teacher of the Month during the 2022-2023 school year by several of her students. As previously mentioned, her RMS  colleagues nominated her for the STORM award presented by the district in 2023.

Mrs. Gallegos is intentional about building relationships with her students and their families in order to ensure that her students know that they are safe, loved and will be challenged and motivated to succeed.  Mrs. Gallegos goes above and beyond when it comes to serving her district, her colleagues and her students. We are so proud to call her our RMS 2023-2024 Teacher of the Year!
