The RSD Board of Education is pleased to announce Mrs. Megan Strain as the new Center Valley Elementary Principal to begin the 2024-2025 school year! Mrs. Strain has served in the Russellville School District for 4 years and will be transitioning from her current role as the Assistant Principal at Sequoyah Elementary.
Since 2021, Mrs. Strain has served at Sequoyah Elementary as the assistant principal where she has been an important leader in the instructional success of the school. In her current role, Mrs. Strain has continuously strived to be a source of positive support and assist in facilitating learning environments that provide students with opportunities for growth and extended learning. In 2023, Mrs. Strain was an AAEA Assistant Principal of the Year Nominee, which is a nomination voted on by educators around the state of Arkansas.
Mrs. Strain has been serving in education since 2014 when she began her career as a classroom teacher. Mrs. Strain started her time here in Russellville in 2020 where she was an advanced science teacher. Throughout her time in RSD, Mrs. Strain has proved to be a strong leader whose impact has reached outside of the classroom. In addition to her instructional leadership, she serves as the RSD Strategic Plan Priority 4 (Communication) Leader.
