Russellville School District is proud to announce that Lynette Ditto has been hired as the new Principal of Oakland Heights Elementary School. With over three decades of experience in education, leadership, and community service, Mrs. Ditto brings a wealth of knowledge and passion to her new role.
Mrs. Ditto is a proud graduate of Russellville High School and holds a Bachelor of Science in Education from Arkansas Tech University. She is certified in multiple areas, including Elementary Education, Middle School English, and Online Teaching. Mrs. Ditto further advanced her education by earning a Master of Education in Educational Leadership from Harding University, where she also achieved certifications as a Building Administrator for grades PK-8 and 5-12.
Mrs. Ditto’s journey in Russellville School District began in 2017 as a 1st grade teacher. In 2018, Mrs. Ditto worked as the Instructional Facilitator at Oakland Heights Elementary where she assisted in facilitating weekly grade-level meetings, coordinated building-wide data analysis, and contributed to professional development efforts. Most recently, Mrs. Ditto served as Assistant Principal at Oakland Heights Elementary, where she facilitated discipline management, faculty and parent communication, and teacher observations. Her leadership was integral in guiding the Oakland Heights Elementary High Reliability Schools (HRS) Committee and coordinating student achievement efforts.
Superintendent Dr. Ginni McDonald shared, "We are thrilled to have Lynette Ditto lead Oakland Heights. Her extensive experience in education, her dedication to student success, and her passion for the Russellville community make her the ideal candidate to lead this school into its next chapter."
Mrs. Ditto’s passion for education extends outside of the school community. Mrs. Ditto has participated in programs such as the Arkansas Department of Education's TESS pilot program and the Future Administrators Program, shaping her into a leader committed to the growth of students and teachers alike.
Mrs. Ditto commented, “As a former OHE student and teacher, Oakland Heights holds a special place in my life. I look forward to working with our families, our staff, and our community. I am excited to lead Oakland Heights into the future!”.
Lynette Ditto's dedication to education, combined with her leadership skills and commitment to fostering safe, high-achieving learning environments, will undoubtedly inspire the Oakland Heights community as she steps into this exciting new role.
