The Lady Cyclones win the 5A state championship. The lead changed hands multiple times among five different teams. The Lady Cyclones came out on top, holding off the field and winning over Greenwood by one stroke.
It’s the fourth consecutive state championship for the Lady Cyclones golf team.
Roccelle Manns was the overall medalist with a score of 72 (+1). Manns and Anna McSpadden made all-state. Heading into the final hole, Russellville led by one, and Blaire Hindsman made a par on hole 18 to help the Lady Cyclones secure their one-stroke lead.
Manns will play in the overall individual state championship in two weeks at Pleasant Valley Country Club in Little Rock.
