Welcome back, Cyclones!
The Cyclone golf teams competed recently in the Ultimate Auto Group Invitational at Big Creek Country Club in Mtn Home.
Girls:
Lady Cyclones won with 470 strokes, 82 in front of 2nd place (Shiloh Christian).
Susanna Manns was the gold medalist with a 72 & 74. Chloie McSpadden was the silver medalist with an 83 and 78.
Lady Cyclones had 3 players finish 1-3 overall and a 4th player finish #8 overall.
It's the 2nd time in 3 years Russellville has won this.
Boys:
Cyclones finished 3rd overall (7 strokes away from first, 21 strokes ahead of 4th place) out of 13 teams.
Riley Davis was the silver medalist with a 79 & 71.
Two other Cyclones also finished in the top 10. Lawson Lewis 5th and Caleb Campbell 10th.

RHS BETA Club is still collecting gently used or new shoes to raise money for our state competition next year. We would greatly appreciate it if you could get any shoes you don't wear and bring them by RHS on Saturday, June 15th from 3-6 pm. Attention class of 2025. Please mark your calendars to have your senior portraits taken this summer. Senior portraits will be from June 10th through June 13th. BRING BETA CLUB YOUR SHOES! We're collecting gently worn, used, new shoes to raise money for next year's state BETA competition in Hot Springs. All you have to do is clean out your closet of shoes you no longer wear, that are still in good condition and bring them by RHS. You can drop them off from 3-6 pm on May 25th.

Class of 2024 Valedictorian, Garren Skartvedt and Salutatorian, Ethan Whitlock, and their families were honored by Governor Sarah Sanders at a reception at the Governor's Mansion. Both students were selected as recipients of the Governor’s Scholastic Honor Roll.

The Business Management class at the high school ran a mock business simulation. The business manufactured 130 braided dog toys out of donated t-shirts. The toys are being donated to NovaStar Dog Rescue.

Congratulations to the 18 Russellville High School students who have earned the Arkansas Seal of Biliteracy for demonstrating proficiency in English and Spanish. Adopted first by California in 2011, the Seal of Biliteracy is now recognized in all 50 states. The official website says, “The Seal of Biliteracy encourages students to pursue biliteracy, honors the skills our students attain, and can be evidence of skills attractive to future employers and college admissions offices.”

Student Mural completed! Art Club students have completed a 100 ft mural behind the RHS Stem Center! The mural showcases scenes from the six regions of Arkansas. It was designed and painted over three years, including some Saturdays and summer sessions, with leadership from Art Club Presidents Bryce Lemmons 2022, Alondra Holland 2023, and Kiara Arevalo 2024.

All services roll call will be held at Russellville High School on Tuesday, May 21. Doors will open at 6:00 pm and the program will begin at 6:30 pm.
Hello, Class of 2024 Families,
To be prepared for graduation, students are expected to attend graduation practice. To accommodate students taking Advanced Placement Exams and those attending the State Championship Soccer Game, we are rescheduling Graduation Practice as follows:
Ceremony 1 practice will still be held on Friday, May 17 at 9:00 am.
Ceremony 2 practice will be held on Thursday, May 16 at 1:00 pm.
All seniors must have turned in their laptops and chargers and paid all fines to receive their diplomas. Seniors who still have their laptops will turn them in after graduation practice. As always, please call the RHS office if you have any questions at 479-968-3151.
