Picture retake day is this Thursday, December 3rd! If your child did not have pictures made on the original picture day, they will have a picture taken on this day. If you ordered pictures last time but are unhappy with them, return the photos you ordered and your child's picture will be taken again. RCVA students can come to the school at 9:00 a.m. on Dec. 3rd to have pictures or retakes made. If you have any questions, give Mrs. Rychelle a call in the office between 7:30-3:30!

We are so thankful that our Tigers will be back at school in the morning! Mask up and bring a coat! It looks like we will have cold days ahead! It is easy to return misplaced coats and masks when names are inside. Keep being awesome at getting to school early! It is so helpful to everyone and gets our Tigers off to a great start when we all arrive before 7:55! It keeps Mrs. Steffy and Mrs. Malin from standing outside extra long on cold mornings too! :) We can't wait to see you!

NO SCHOOL 11.20.20-RSD's Board of Education has called for Friday, November 20 to be an off-site remote learning day district wide in response to an increase in COVID cases throughout the community. Unlike 'Virtual Learning' days students Pre-K to 12 grade will not be on campus Friday.

One of the many disadvantages of COVID is that our families are not able to come into the school and see our teachers in action with your children. Today, in addition to learning, our teachers are creating memories with your children...fun Thanksgiving activities, singing songs, and eating Thanksgiving lunch together. We love each student just as if they are our own children. In fact, we do consider them our children and will always claim them as ours. :) These words were generated by our teachers as the reasons they come to school everyday. It is our "why" behind everything we do at London Elementary! Our teachers are a blessing to our students, and our students are a blessing to our teachers! When they are away, we miss them terribly! We hope you have a Happy Thanksgiving, and we will look forward to being be back together after Thanksgiving break! - Mrs. Malin

Information sent out this evening through our phone messaging system... Good Evening Tiger Families! This is Krista Malin, principal at London Elementary.  If you have not already heard, the school board made the decision last night that this Friday will be a Remote Learning Day for all students due to an uprise in positive COVID cases in the community.  I wanted to give you more details specific to our school. We will be sending home a device with your child tomorrow afternoon.  Teachers will be posting remote learning assignments for Friday.  There will be fewer assignments than on past remote learning days because our teachers had planned some Thanksgiving activities that would just be impossible to do on a device.  The teachers will still have office hours on Friday if your child needs help with the assignments.  Their set office hours will be posted on Seesaw for K-1 and Google Classroom for 2-4.  Your children should be very familiar with how to login and use the device to access Seesaw or Google classroom because they use this frequently in class.  Teachers will have explained assignments to students.  In addition, tech support will be available by calling the office. Your child will keep the device over the Thanksgiving break and bring it back to school when they return on Monday, November 30th. We now have a limited number of hot spots available for students that do not have internet access.  The hot spot does require cell service, but it does not use personal cell data.  The hot spots are available on a first come, first serve basis for families with zero internet access.  To check a hot spot out, a parent will need to come to the office and sign a user agreement for it. We will be sending home a sack with breakfast and lunch in it for Friday with every student.   Our office and tech support will be closed next week for Thanksgiving break.  Thank you for trusting us with your child! We are so thankful for them and so grateful for your support!  We have the best students and families in the whole wide world!  We hope you have a very happy Thanksgiving! Have a great evening!
